We are happy to post ads for sellers of the collectable items free of charge, both ongoing and for specific collections or items. We don't charge any fees but in return we would request that you support the goals of the project by scanning and uploading a copy of the item. This means that we would hope that for each advert placed, you upload a copy of one of the titles via our service. We're happy to also include eBay references in the advert if you are selling by auction.

This has two benefits, first it helps us increase the catalog of online items and secondly it will help spark more interest in the items from the casual internet browser. Remember, our goal is to increase the number of items online and therefore increase the number of collectors of the items.

Buyers

We hope that this area will prove a useful source for tracking down sellers and other collectors.

Before buying any item of value we suggest that you check the value of the items from sources such as collector catalogs or ebay for more up to date pricing. You should always take into account the rarity, condition and the authenticity of any item before assigning a value and transacting. Collecting rare items such as those on this site is fun, however please remember that the goal of BookZwap is to share the content of the items with others less fortunate than yourself - so we request that you help by uploading a scanned copy of the item to our site.

As with all transactions by internet we suggest that you observe common sense and read our suggested code of practice as a minimum standard. All transactions between buyers and sellers are independent of BookZwap and it is not our policy to get involved in any resultant actions or at as arbitrators in any event. Should you note or suspect any violation of honest practices, please inform us immediately so we can take down the offending advert or link to a particular site.


Buyer and Seller codes of practice for safe transactions

• Pick good sellers, especially when buying from private individuals
• Report any problems to us immediately and we will remove the reseller details
• Ask for a 'land-line' telephone number and a physical address if you are unsure
• Don't judge a person or company solely by their web site
• Be cautious when buying from overseas companies
• Check sellers' privacy and returns policy
• Use an appropriate, safe means of online payment to get protection against non-delivery
